Language Assessment Volvo and Renault Trucks
November, 2014 . Once again Volvo has contracted the services of Interlinco to carry out English language level testing for its personnel in each of the divisions of the Group – Volvo España, Volvo Penta, Volvo Financial Services and Renault Trucks. A specialist team provides Listening, Grammar and Oral tests for over 200 employees with the objective of assigning staff to an appropriate level of training throughout the Group.

Event at the French Embassy
September 2014. Interlinco and Targobank sponsored the conferenceEurope for Experience, Europe for the Future, with speeches from French politician Catherine Lalumière, the current President of the Paris House of Europe and former European Member of Parliament and French Government Minister, and from Professor Pilar Folguera Crespo, holder of the Jean Monnet Chair at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Thus, Interlinco strengthens its commitment to Diálogo, a Spanish-French friendship association.
During the event, Interlinco provided the Spanish-French interpreting services required by Ms Catherine Lalumière. Afterwards, a dinner was held at Club Financiero with the speakers and the members of the Diálogo Women’s Forum, which was attended by our managing partner, Lourdes Sánchez-Cervera (above, on the right side of the picture).
“Best Practices for Managing Teams in a Business Environment” – Competition to be held on June 12th at Carlos III University, sponsored by Interlinco
Madrid, May 2014. The 2nd edition of the competition “Best Practices for Managing Teams in a Business Environment” will be held on June 12th at Carlos III University in Madrid. This competition is organized by the Department of Business Economics and sponsored by Interlinco. Its goals are to promote cooperation between universities and companies as well as to encourage students in terms of Organizational Behaviour and Team Management.
Students will have to analyze real case studies taken from actual companies and make a concise presentation in which they will be required to defend an improvement plan for the analyzed company, with a view to optimise a chosen key indicator of Organizational Behaviour. Participating teams will face a jury that will rate the presentations and select the winning team.
At Interlinco, we believe in the importance of helping students putting their knowledge into practice and acquiring valuable professional experience. The results of the competition will be shown in the university’s website shortly (www.uc3m.es). Translation for prestigious London art gallery
Madrid, October 2013. “Architecture without Frontiers” – Event sponsored by Interlinco and Targobank
Madrid, January 2014. A cultural event was held at the Club Financiero Génova in Madrid on 29th January 2014, organised by the Diálogo French-Spanish Association, including presentations by Raphaëlle-Laure Perraudin, architect and partner of the Jourda Architectes firm (Paris) and Cristina García-Rosales González-Fierro, architect, co-founder and Chairwoman of the La Mujer Construye association (Madrid).
The event was sponsored by Interlinco and Targobank in partnership with Air France and Renault, and with the support of the French Embassy in Spain. Over a hundred professionals attended from the world of architecture, business, diplomacy and culture.
Interlinco, as well as sponsoring the event, also participated in the selection of speakers and provided Spanish-French simultaneous interpretation services, with the interpreters receiving warm congratulations during the lively cocktail party held after the event.
The aim of this conference cycle, promoted by the Women’s Forum of Dialogo, is to be an opportunity for discussion about modern-day Spain and France, and deals with social, cultural, corporate and economic issues.
Gas Natural Fenosa renews Interlinco’s status as an authorised provider of translation services
Madrid, 1 October 2013. Interlinco has been providing translation and interpreting services for several companies within the Gas Natural Fenosa Group for almost a decade. Interlinco’s status as an authorised provider was recently renewed for the period 2013-2014. The services provided are mainly in the field of technical translation (international tenders, advanced engineering projects and energy infrastructures) as well as legal translation (incorporation of subsidiaries, powers of attorney, international contracts, etc.). Interlinco renews ISO 9001:2008 and EN 15038 certifications
Madrid, August 2013. In July 2013, after the external follow-up Audit by professionals from TÜV Rheinland, Interlinco successfully renewed its certifications under the international standards ISO 9001:2008 and EN 15038.To obtain such certifications, a strict set of standardized requirements for a quality management system, and a robust and reliable translation service procedure is required.
Interlinco yearly audits its QA system, and procedures to ensure its ongoing efficiency and continuous improvement. Such systems are essential factors of Interlinco’s commitment to consistently provide translations of the utmost quality.
Annual get together for translators and interpreters
Madrid, 21 June 2013. In 21 June 2013 the company held its annual event for Interlinco employees and collaborators. On this occasion, a group of over 25 people left the office at midday bound for the Sierra de Madrid. Our first stop was the Jarosa dam (Guadarrama), where we enjoyed a ramble, taking a circular route through pine woods and thickets with magnificent views of the mountains as a backdrop. We continued on to Los Molinos, at the foot of La Peñota, where our managing director hosted an informal party in the garden of her home, which continued well into the evening.

Collaboration agreement with Universitalent
Madrid / Aachen, 3 June 2013. Interlinco and the German company Universitalent finalised a collaboration agreement to provide German, English and French courses to young Spaniards in order to encourage and facilitate integration in the German, Dutch and Belgian labour markets
Master in Legal-Financial Translation
2012-2013 academic year. Master’s degree in Legal and Financial Translation at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas.
Our partner, Alfred G. Kavannagh, professor at the Universidad de Comillas, is one of the innovators behind this new Master’s course, teaching “theory and practice of corporate translating”. Eduardo Sánchez-Cervera is also on the teaching staff and will be teaching the courses “Theory and basics of corporate organisation“ and “Theory and practice in translating criminal law matters”.
